MITZO PRESENTS A LUXURIOUS FEAST TO WELCOME IN THE LUNAR NEW YEAR

Celebrate the festivities this coming Lunar New Year at Mitzo Restaurant and Bar, as Executive Head Chef Nicky Ng presents a modern take on traditional delights. Available from 15 January to 19 February 2019, Mitzo’s Lunar New Year menu redefines traditional offerings with dishes prepared with utmost care and precision.

A time of reunion to be enjoyed with loved ones, welcome in the Lunar New Year with good luck, fortune, happiness, wealth, longevity, and abundance, with quintessential dishes such as Peng Cai and Yu Sheng, and artisanal cocktails to celebrate.

The Salmon “Yu Sheng” ($78++ for 4-6 persons, $138++ for 10 persons) exhibits Executive Chef Nicky’s modern touch to the beloved festive dish. Served on a beautiful platter arranged with bright colours, diners can usher in the new year with a lofty stack of greens, radish, carrot, and red cabbage, topped with a unique blend of citron tea jam, home-made bean sauce and corn oil, and an ultra-fresh salmon, this celebration must-have is not to be missed. Guests can also choose to indulge in the King Fish “Yu Sheng” ($88++ for 4-6 persons, $158++ for 10 persons), or the Auspicious abalone “Yu Sheng” ($168++ for 4-6 persons, $228++ for 10 persons), or for diners who prefer to have a lighter or vegetarian option, they can choose the Fruits Yu Sheng ($68++ for 4-6 persons, $128++ for 10 persons), a healthy and refreshing combination of tropical fruits and vegetables with osmanthus. This is served with a unique blend of citron tea jam and sour plum sauce.

A braised treasure of goodness and flavour, Mitzo offers two different renditions of the traditional Peng Cai. The symbol of abundance and wealth, diners can feast in the decadent Superior “Peng Cai” made with 10-head Abalone, Dried scallop stuffed with radish, flower mushroom, sea cucumber, deep-fried fish maw, dried oyster, roast duck, lettuce, lotus root, poached chicken, barbecued pork, roasted pork belly and “Fa Cai” (black moss).

Each ingredient of the Peng Cai is simmered with Mitzo’s homemade broth, offering a greater complexity of flavours and fragrances. Amp up the experience with an exquisitely prepared Lobster “Peng Cai”.

Diners can also choose to feast in the Superior Peng Cai 5-Course Set Menu ($638++ for a table of 4 / $1288++ for a table of 8 /$168++ per additional person) which features the “Kanpachi” King Fish Yu Sheng, a flavourful bowl of Fish maw soup with wild mushroom, chicken and fungus, a luxurious pot of Superior “Peng Cai”, a serving of Truffle Ee Fu noodles with scallop, before ending on a sweet note with the Chilled pineapple sago cream served with Warm “Nian Gao” tart. Alternatively, satiate in the Lobster Peng Cai 5-Course Set Menu ($588++ for a table of 4 / $1088++ for a table of 8 / $138++ per additional person) that showcases the Lobster “Peng Cai” in the aforementioned generous set.

Mitzo’s Chinese New Year Set Menus

Executive Chef Nicky has prepared an abundant feast for everyone to enjoy. Gather your loved ones and indulge in a feast with Mitzo’s curated set menus for the Lunar New Year. Diners can choose from set menus that are catered from pairs of two, to groups of 4 to 10, ranging from S$198++ per person to S$1,388 for a table of 8. For more information on the various set menus, please refer to the appendix. In addition to the set menus, a la carte dishes and drinks are available.

Usher in the Lunar New Year with a Specially Crafted Cocktail

Concocted by Head Bartender Azlam Kadir, toast to the new year with Divinity ($18++ per glass) made with an invigorating brew of ginseng-infused vodka, maraschino liqueur, plum bitters, goji berry syrup, lime juice, topped up with ginger beer. This delightful tipple perfectly complements the set menu with its well-balanced and refreshing taste.
