ITALIA INDEPENDENT AT MIDO 2019

Italia Independent confirms its presence at MIDO 2019, the most important eyewear fair, that will take place in the halls of the Polo Fieristico di Rho-Pero exhibition centre from 23 to 25 February 2019, with a stand ready to unveil new products and discuss new designs.
Located in the central square of Hall 1, in the Fashion District area, dedicated to the main players in the global eyewear industry, the exhibition space is a perfect synthesis of Italia Independent’s products. MIDO will act as a stage for the P/E 2019 Italia Independent and POP LINE collections, as well as hosting a preview of the new Hublot eyewear collection and the co-branded collections with Billionaire Boys Club and Disney. The stand sees as, its main colours, blue and light blue – always dear to I-I – that contribute to outlining continuity with respect to the new course undertaken by the Brand of creativity and style.

The Italia Independent eyewear collection is enriched with new families and processes.

Hexi – Thin is another new entry for I-I: a family consisting of glasses made of an innovative material called Hexetate, a patented acrylic resin with technical and mechanical properties superior to those of traditional acetate. This material allows the glasses to be firmer and at the same time lighter than glasses made of cellulose acetate. It is also a recyclable, eco-friendly material, as it does not contain BPA or DEP, nor does it require any plasticiser.

Pop Line, the pop family and Italia Independent lifestyle returns to its old splendour with an infusion of graphics and colours made using the specific technique of digital printing, which transversely characterises the sun, regular and teen models. Classic and contemporary forms alternate trends and designs to suit every face.

The second Hublot Eyewear release is being previewed worldwide. The Swiss luxury watch Manufacture and Italia Independent presents a unique and distinctive collection, full of timeless charm. Iconic models, representatives of that modern luxury capable of combining classic and contemporary elements, are embellished with details which represent the incredible world of one of the leading companies in the luxury watch sector. Sun and regular models made entirely of titanium, Made in Japan. The H026 model stands out, a direct evolution of the Tech eyewear – a real must have of the first collection.

Italia Independent celebrates The Walt Disney Company, one of the world’s biggest brands and one which has been able to make entertainment and storytelling its strength, with two eyewear collections. The first, dedicated to the timeless Mickey and Minnie Mouse, is characterised by bright colours and graphics that echo the iconic characters in a style that is decidedly Italia Independent. A world preview will be unveiled at MIDO: the eyewear collection – for adults and kids – developed in collaboration with Marvel and dedicated entirely to the Avengers saga: Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk and Thor. The real gem of the collection is the limited edition launch of just 150 pieces, inspired by the famous saga and dedicated to true devotees.

Billionaire Boys Club and Italia Independent launch the second co-branded eyewear collection at the Milan International Eyewear Show. The fashion and lifestyle brand founded by Lapo Elkann and the premium streetwear brand created by Pharrell Williams continue their happy collaboration with an ambitious project, characterised by high stylistic content, in which sport, art and music blend harmoniously. Glasses entirely made of acetate, handmade with clear reference to the Urban style of the 1990s, an inexhaustible source of inspiration for designers all over the world.

Another new feature is the Spring/Summer 2019 communication campaign, with artistic direction curated by the talented photographer Victor Santiago in the beautiful city of Barcelona. Set in a post-industrial urban setting, it shows Italia Independent’s world in a sexy and daring way.
