Brixton Village is delighted to announce that The Wine Parlour has opened the doors to its second outpost in London’s most diverse and vibrant market. The Wine Parlour Brixton Village serves as a brand new bottle shop and the latest exciting addition to the markets’ ever-evolving food and drink scene.

As a one-stop shop for all those looking to purchase or sample a wide range of brilliant wines, The Wine Parlour Brixton Village offers its customers wine to try on-site, take home or enjoy in the neighbouring BYO restaurants of the market. Encouraging a ‘try before you buy’ culture, the bottle shop’s focus is on sustainable wines and lesser known grapes from small family-run vineyards, many of which source exclusively to The Wine Parlour. Both New World and Old World will be represented, with bottles from Greece, Germany, Australia, California and Australia, among many others. Craft beers and spirits are also available to purchase.

Customers to the bottle shop can expect weekly changing black boards and an uncomplicated menu of wines, beers and spirits. The cosy destination, featuring 8 bar seats inside with a further 15 outside around barrels, is set to be a convivial space for people from all over to try different tipples, enjoy tastings and start new conversations. Following the same ethos as the original Wine Parlour on Vining Street down the road, the bottle shop in Brixton Village is set to be local and accessible, passionate yet informal, with the team bringing a serious yet fun and friendly approach to wine.

The Wine Parlour Brixton Village was founded by Chix Chandaria, a former dancer who spent years travelling across Europe’s array of brilliant wine bars and soaking up the wine culture that wasn’t yet to be found in London. When she moved back to the UK, she began to import wines from abroad, establishing pop-up shops as a way to share her passion and educate audiences about different wines. In 2012, she opened The Wine Parlour on Atlantic Road in Brixton, which is now followed by The Wine Parlour Brixton Village.
