Where to enjoy a coffee during The London Coffee Festival: Le Café Alain Ducasse
For all those looking beyond this week’s London Coffee Festival to discover the best the capital has to offer, Le Café Alain Ducasse will be welcoming coffee aficionados of all kinds to experience the pièce de résistance of coffee roasting at its UK site in Coal Drops Yard at King’s Cross.
The coffees on offer at Le Café are produced by growers from around the world (some of which sourced exclusively to Le Café) and reveal a world of flavours created through the precise processes of harvesting, fermentation, roasting and assembling. Award-winning Le Café Head Roaster Veda Viraswami has roasted in Paris a unique range that features two signature blends with beans from Brazil, Laos and Ethiopia for espresso or Burundi, Congo, Ethiopia for filter coffee; 3 single-origin coffees each from Kenya, Costa Rica and Ethiopia; and 3 ‘cru d’exception’ coffees sourced in limited supply from Yemen, Panama and La Réunion.
Le Café also offers cappuccinos, cold-brew coffee on tap alongside an infused cascara drink made from the dried pulp of the coffee cherry, served as iced tea, hot tea, or ‘whisky style’. To accompany the curated drinks on offer, guests can enjoy fresh madeleines baked on-site and chocolates from Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse right next door, carefully paired to enhance the flavour experience.
From the meticulous sourcing of the finest quality coffee beans to the precise preparation of the coffee to be served, Le Café Alain Ducasse believes the journey from coffee bean to cup is one taken with care over time. And so, too, is the experience of drinking coffee at Le Café. Watch carefully as the skillfully trained ‘cafeliers’ take you through the preparation of your coffee before savouring the flavours of Africa, South America and Asia with every sip. At Le Café, coffee is not to be rushed.
