Kiss the Hippo to open second café in Fitzrovia on Wednesday 25th September

London’s most progressive specialty coffee roasters announce the opening date of their second café on Margaret Street, Fitzrovia

September 2019: Known for their innovative, sustainable approach to coffee, independent roaster Kiss the Hippo Coffee has confirmed that their second café will open in Fitzrovia on Wednesday 25th September. Open every day from morning until early evening, Kiss the Hippo Fitzrovia will offer the roastery’s high quality sustainably sourced coffee, as well as a variety of wholesome, homemade dishes to eat in or takeaway. To celebrate the opening, all proceeds from the café’s first two days will be donated to their chosen charity partner, the Rainforest Trust UK.

Setting a new standard for London’s coffee scene, Kiss the Hippo Coffee opened their flagship Richmond café and on-site Soil Association-certified organic roastery in 2018. Their new Fitzrovia café, located on Margaret Street in the heart of Central London, will continue the brand’s dedication to creating timelessly beautiful spaces that make their guests feel inspired. Filled with natural light that comes pouring through the café’s large windows, Kiss the Hippo Fitzrovia’s two spacious floors epitomize the brand’s distinct minimalist style and identity. An abundance of beech wood and contemporary Scandinavian-style furniture give the new location a uniquely cool and calming ambiance.

In addition to their expertly curated selection of award-winning coffee, Kiss the Hippo Fitzrovia will also offer breakfast, brunch and lunch menus that feature fresh, seasonal ingredients from sustainable local farms and suppliers. Guests can look forward to enjoying a range of delicious options including healthy vegan fare like the ‘Vegan Banana Cake’; hearty classics like ‘Mushrooms on Sourdough Toast with Black Olive Tapenade & Shaved Italian Cheese’ and ‘Severn and Wye Organic Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese on Sourdough Toast’; as well asdecadent desserts and baked goods like the much-loved ‘Cinnamon Roll’, which comes smothered in white chocolate icing.
